Chandigarh 24th
Jan, 2019:- Thousands
of Contractual Employees and Outsourcing Workers hold Maharally with their
Families under the banner of All Contractual Karamchari Sangh, U.T. Chandigarh
for voice of nearly 20000 workers for Regularization of services and
Equality or Security of Tenure. The workers and their families raised protest against
Chandigarh administration with slogans.
All
Contractual Karamchari Sangh Chairman Bipin Sher Singh and President Ashok
Kumar apprised that the contractual employees and outsourcing workers are
working since 20-25 years in various departments of Chandigarh administration, Municipal
Corporation and PGI etc. but no efforts have been made by administration to
regularize their services and even there is no policy to regularize the
services of contractual employees in Chandigarh till date.
The
major demands of All Contractual Karmachari Sangh includes regularization of
contractual employees, equal work for equal pay and non replacement of existing
outsourcing workers in lieu of change of tender or contractor, to ban contract
system resulting into exploitation of qualified youth and intelligentsia and
equal work equal pay to NHM employees in Hospitals at par with SSA workers etc.
They
said that Punjab Rules are being followed in U.T. Chandigarh and Punjab has
already framed and implemented the regularization policy in the year 2011 by
regularising the services of contractual employees who had completed 03 years
of service. They asked then why there is disparity with Contract employees in
U.T. Chandigarh.
Ashok
Kumar said that five point agenda program in the form of Candle March, Black
Flag March etc. had already been executed and in continuation this Maharally
with Families is being done in support of their genuine demands.
Karamchari
Sangh Secretary Parveen Kumar alleged that if their genuine demands are not met
and meeting with Advisor ,Chandigarh administration is not been fixed shortly
for demands then the indefinite Mass Strike will be held in near future along
with 25 unions and their struggle, voice and fight will continue till the
justice or policy is reached.
