Annual Function of Maharishi Dayanand Public School Concludes

Chandigarh 05th Feb, 2019:- Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria, Chandigarh,  organised  its 19th annual function.  It was inaugurated by Adhyatm Sanskriti Ratna Sri Rao V. P. Singh. Sri Rao,  while inaugurating the function by igniting the ‘Jyoti’ and chanting of Vedic mantras, wished the school and students success for development of their own selves and as well as the country.  He was accompanied by Dr. Indra Rani Rao and Benu Rao. 
Former IAS and well known Literatuer Vivek Atray was the Chief Guest. He inspired the students and lauded the dedicated efforts being put in by the school and its staff in promoting education in rural area. He said that parents also had a great responsibility in upliftment of their children. It is essential for them to spare time for their wards.  Children should not forget their duties. They can develop their physical and mental faculties by following the tenets of Indian Culture. Secretary of D.A.V. College Managing Committee New Delhi, Ravinder Talwar presided over the function. He appreciated the achievements of the students in various promotional activities being conducted by the school. 
Councilor Vinod Aggarwal said that study should be motivated  by the spirit of learning. Right education teaches the art of living.
Guests of honour, Former Regional Director of CBSE D. R.  Yadav, Jaspal Singh, Gurpreet Singh Happy, Amit Garg, Shashi Shankar Tiwari, Prakash Chander Sharma, Vijay Jindal, Sunil Gupta also expressed views on the occasion.
Kids of pre-primary classes displayed fancy dress show. They recited rhymes which attracted one and all. The primary students performed folk dances. Students of middle and higher classes presented  Bhangra and Gidda,  
Principal Dr. Vinod Kumar read out the annual report, reviewing the activities of the school during the year. He also thanked the distinguished guests and all other persons,  who attended the programme.
The eminent invitees gave away prizes and merit certificates to meritorious students.
