Samaj College of Education(DSCE), Sector 36-B, Chandigarh, in view of India's
‘National Solar Mission’ to establish India as a Global Leader in Solar Energy
by targeting to reach 100GW of Solar Power by 2022, has gone ahead and
installed 100KW Rooftop Solar Plant. With this installation, Dev Samaj has
become among the largest producers of solar power and the largest private aided
college for the same in Chandigarh. The Inauguration was done by the Chief
Guest Debendra Dalai, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Executive
Officer (CREST), Chandigarh(U.T.). He was accompanied by Nirmal Singh Dhillon,
Secretary- Dev Samaj & Chairman-DSCE 36B, Chandigarh, Maanvinder Singh
Mangat, Chief Administrative Officer–The Dev Samaj, Chandigarh and Dr. (Mrs.)
Agnese Dhillon, Principal– DSCE 36B, Chandigarh.
Debendra Dalai emphasized on the
Economic as well as Environmental benefits of using Renewable Sources of
Energy.
Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal
of the college gave a floral welcome and books from the Dev Samaj Publications
as token of Gratitude to the Chief Guest.
Debendra Dalai also asked and
inspired the audience into choosing Renewable Sources of Energy for their
personal energy.
