Dazzling Start to Decade Celebrations of SVGOI Annual Cultural Fest-Spontania-2K18

Chandigarh 05th October:- Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology organized its Annual Cultural Fest “SPONTANIA–2K18” on 5th Oct, 2018. It is a multi-activity extravaganza with a blend of versatile Cultural events provides an exceptional platform to talented students to showcase their talent. It also plays an important role in shaping the personality of the students. 

The fest was inaugurated by Hardiyal Kamboj (MLA Rajpura), NPS Lamba (Deputy Director Technical Education, Punjab), Mohanbir Singh Sidhu (Additional Director Technical Education, PSBTE Chandigarh), Sulakshna (Regional Program Head of Big FM 92.7)

After the traditional lamp lightening, this was followed by spectacular guest performance.  Aruna Bhardhwaj (Director General of SVGOI) welcomed the guests and highlighted the achievements of the Institutes during the last 15 years.

The major attraction of the event is Fashion Show and the Star Night performance by the Famous Punjabi Singer, Amrit Mann.

Students get together to celebrate the spirit of life by performing in various cultural events in various dimensions of performing arts. The major events of the campus include Solo Singing, Group Singing, Qawali, Mime, Poem Recitation, Still Photography, Film Making, One Act Play, Basketball, Volleyball, Bhangra, Debate, T-Shirt Design, Almost 27 events  makes the student crazy with fun and excitement in the fest and 27 events will be organized in the 2-days span. While the solo dances had audience tapping their feet, the mime was thought provoking on the various themes. 

The loudest round of applause was reserve for the moment when the names for the best performances and the toppers was announced and the prize distribution ceremony was done by the Chief Guest Shiv Kumar (SDM Rajpura.

Ashwani Garg, Chairman SVGOI in his speech appreciated all the students’ vibrant performances and also advised the students to be dreamer’s performers and achievers in their chosen field and expressed his desire that many more students must bring out their best hidden talents.

Ashok Garg, President SVGOI blessed the students and motivate them to participate in different events. 

The day ended with the colorful evening made by the Fashion Show and Ramp Walk of the students which was enjoyed by everyone. Spontania convener Ankur Gill gave best wishes to all the students and organizing committee and vote of thanks to the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries.
