According to Commander (Dr.) Avikshit
said that the MSMEs being backbone of industry play a significant role in
country’s economy. The working of MSMEs has been studied in detail in this
book. Deeper analysis during a research work established big chasm between
understanding of self and others amongst leaders i.e. owners / managers of
MSMEs and workforce. To study the leadership behaviour and employees morale two
questionnaires were designed, one for the leaders and another for the workers.
The primary and secondary data was collected and appropriate statistical and
quantitative analysis was carried out to achieve the results. These were
further subjected to relevant research methodology and results were synthesized
to reach meaningful conclusions. It has been clearly established that
leadership of MSMEs required big time improvement and those areas have been clearly
brought out in this book.
Book presents amalgamation of classic
leadership theories, their relevance in present scenario, newer aspects and
requirement of the hour to strengthen Industrial base of MSMEs for economic
progress of the country. It will also go a long way in realizing ‘Make in
India’ and ‘Start Up’ missions.
Author studied delivery pattern of
shipyards across the world and it was found that all shipyards have
undergone massive time and cost overruns in nearly all projects in India.
Hence, there was a need of correction. The sample taken in this book has been
kept limited to MSMEs of Saurashtra region as that region is hub of
shipbuilding activities in private sector.
