10,000 Free Handmade Bags Distributed Under "Plastic Hatao, Paryawaran Bachao" Campaign

Chandigarh 22nd October:- At Diwali Festival of CII Sector 17, Pradhanmantri Jankalyankari Yojana Prachar Prasar Abhiyan Chandigarh team participated in "Plastic Hatao, Paryawaran Bachao" campaign. During this time handmade bags were distributed to the people.
Around 10,000 bags were distributed free of cost during the fair by Chandigarh team of PradhanMantri Jankalyankari Yojana Prachar Prasar Abhiyan. Chandigarh team President Ritesh Maheshwari and General Secretary Prashant Dewan said that team members went to almost all the stalls during the fair and made shopkeepers take a pledge to not use plastic. Paper, cloth and jute bags were distributed free of cost to all the stall owners and visiting customers as a gift so that they can oppose the plastic bags in future also. Prashant Dewan said that we will continue this campaign even further in Chandigarh.
It is noteworthy that during the inauguration of the festival, Chandigarh's administrator and Punjab Governor VPS Badnore and Chandigarh Mayor Rajesh Kalia specially visited the team stall. Rajmani, the National Trainer of the Pradhan Mantri Jankalyankari Yojana Prachar Prasar Abhiyan Team from Delhi, provided information about their campaign also presented handmade bags to the administrator and the mayor.
