Chandigarh 20th September:- The Women's
Cell of Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW), Sector 45 here organized 'Swachhta
hi Seva' drive. About hundred students participated in this
cleanliness drive which was flagged off from the college premises by the
Principal, Dr Jaspal Kaur. The students walked up to the parks of Sec 46 ,
holding creatively made placards & banners against littering. The students
were enthusiastically shouting slogans for keeping one's surroundings clean. In
the Sec 46 parks the students cleaned the area, and made it litter- free.
The students took this initiative under the guidance of
Dr Ila Rathor, Dr Pushpinder Pal Kaur and Rajneesh Behra. The awareness drive
carried out by raising slogans and making colorful posters depicting the
importance of Swachha Bharat, made the onlookers & general public realize
the importance of a clean India.
Principal Dr Jaspal Kaur congratulated the Women's Cell
for organizing this awareness drive, and highlighted the importance of clean
surroundings.
