55 Students Examined at Health Check-up Camp

Chandigarh 08th April:-CII-Yi Chandigarh Chapter organised a Health Check-up Camp for the students of Akshar School at Kaimbwala area where more than 55 children were examined. A team of doctors from Fortis Healthcare Hospital conducted the health tests, including haemoglobin levels and also imparted first-aid training on CPR technique. They were also told about the importance of healthy diet and hygiene.
On this occasion, Priya Malik, Past Chair, Yi Chandigarh Chapter said that as a part of Young Indians, we intend to subsist the theme of World Health Day 2019, ‘Universal Health Coverage: Everyone Everywhere’ which means that all people should have access to comprehensive quality health services without any kind of discrimination.
The authorities of Akshar School were overwhelmed with CII-Yi initiative for the under privileged students. They were of the view that it is the right time to spread the much needed awareness about health imperatives among the children who shall further serve as agents for change in the society.
