Chandigarh 24th August:- As many as 35 knee replacement
patients from tricity, Punjab and Haryana along with doctors carried out a
plantation drive in and around Ojas Super Speciality Hospital, Panchkula on
Saturday. The drive was launched to mark 200 successful ortho surgeries
including knee replacement surgery at Ojas Hospital and to make awareness that
after surgery, knee patients can lead normal life by performing all routine
functions.
During occasion, Dr. Harish Gupta
CEO-Ojas honored the knee replacement patients for their noble gesture.
Dr. Suresh Singla and Dr. Gagandeep
Gupta both ortho surgeons also joined patients in plantation drive where each
patient planted a tree.
Jagdish Chandra a knee replacement
patient said that his dream was to plant trees but due to knee arthritis, he
was unable to do the gardening. But now after successful knee replacement
surgery, he could able to perform gardening and fulfilled his dream of tree
plantation.
Naresh Aggarwal and Pyara Singh the
others patients also shared sentiments. They said that their lives have
completely changed after knee replacement surgery as they could now perform all
routine works that were not possible before surgery.
Interestingly famous Punjab singer,
Amar Sandhu, whose mother was also got operated for knee replacement at Ojas,
was also presented during occasion. He enthralled the patients with his
hit Punjabi songs.
Meanwhile the patients covered
under Ayushman Bharat Scheme can now avail knee replacement surgery at Ojas
Hospital.
