2021:- Today on the third day of
the Trident Inter District Cricket one day tournament 2021, a total of 6 league
pool matches were played in which team of Bathinda DCA played against Barnala
DCA, Fatehgarh Sahib DCA team played against Nawanshahr DCA, Mansa DCA played
against Sangrur DCA, Ferozepur DCA took on Faridkot DCA , Muktsar DCA
played with Fazilka DCA and Ropar DCA played vs Kapurthala DCA
Due to fog and low
visibility the start of the game was delayed at Barnala, Nawanshahar Muktsar,
and Ropar and accordingly play was reduced to 38 overs at Barnala, 47 overs at
Nawanshahr , 42 overs at Muktsar.

The key takeaways of matches played on the second day are as
given below:
· Bathinda
DCA played against Barnala DCA at cricket grounds of Trident Complex Barnala ,
the match started with a delay due to fog and the number of over’s were reduced
to 38. Bathinda DCA won the toss and elected to field first. Barnala DCA lost
early wickets and scored 115 for all out in 31.5 overs. In reply Bathinda DCA
made 120 for loss of 5 wickets in just 22 overs and secured their berth In the
semifinals. Kamaljit Singh of Bathinda DCA was declared the Man of the match
for his bowling spell of 6 overs 9 runs and 3 wickets.
· Fatehgarh
Sahib DCA team played against Nawanshahar DCA at RK Arya College ground
Nawanshahar. Play was reduced to 47 overs due to delayed start. Fatehgarh Sahib
DCA won the toss and opted to bat , however the team could do much and were
bowled all out at a score of 64 runs . Nawanshahar DCA while chasing the score
made 67 for a loss of 3 wickets in just 8.1 overs and won the match by 7
wickets. Pardeep Singh of Nawanshahar was declared the man of the match for his
excellent bowling spell of 7.4 overs in which he took 5 wickets giving away
just 16 runs. Sukhwinder singh of Nawanshahar scored 39 runs of 16 deliveries
with the help of 8 boundaries and a six. With this win Nawanshahar DCA has
entered the Semi finals.
· Mansa
DCA played against Sangrur DCA at Khalsa Cricket Ground Mansa. Mansa DCA won
the toss and elected to bat first and made a total of 226 all out in 49.4
overs. It was a neck-to-neck match and Sangrur DCA managed to chase the target
and won the match by 1 wicket. Both Gaurav Chaudhary of Sangrur DCA and
Gurpreet Mitha of Mansa DCA were the top scorers with 72 runs each. Aryan
Sharma of Sangrur DCA was declared Man of the Match for his bowling
performance.
· Ferozepur
DCA took on Faridkot DCA at Barjindra College grounds at Faridkot. Faridkot DCA
won the toss and elected to field first. Ferozepur DCA while batting first made
a 241 for a loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. On the other hand,
Faridkot DCA managed to score 195 with all out in 45 overs. Ferozepur DCA won
the match by 46 runs with Sahil Chander scoring 60 runs and Nicy scoring 40.
Anil Cric from Ferozepur DCA was declared Man of the Match for his stunning
performance in bowling.
· Muktsar
DCA played with Fazilka DCA at NPS Cricket grounds Muktsar. The match started
late and was reduced to 42 overs. DCA won the toss and elected to bat, the team
made 240 for loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 42 over’s. In reply Fazilka's
team was bowled out for 88 runs in 25.3 overs. Harjot Dhawan of Muktsar was
declared Man of the match for his bowling spell of 8.3 overs in which he took 8
wickets giving away just 29 runs.
· Ropar
DCA vs Kapurthala DCA played at Govt College, Kapurthala. The match started
with a delay due to bad weather and fog. Number of overs was reduced from 50 to
25, Kapurthala DCA won the toss and elected to bat. Kapurthala DCA set the
target of 179 with all out in 24 overs. Harpreet Singh and Neeraj Ghai
were the highest scorers with 70 and 56 runs, respectively. Ropar DCA tried
chasing the target but managed only 99 runs with all out in 20 overs. Neeraj
Ghai of Kapurthala DCA was declared Man of the Match for his ace performance
which comprised 5 sixes.
The Semi finals will be played on 15th February
in which Muktstar DCA will take on Nawanshahr DCA at Muktstar and Hoshiarpur
DCA will take on Bathinda DCA at Bathinda.
