Group, the leading real estate developer of the region celebrated India's 72nd
Republic day on 25th January with fervour and lot of enthusiasm in Zirakpur.
After the overwhelming response from the past three seasons of celebration,
this year the group saluted the Republic of India with fourth season of its
mega kite flying event turned to competition that took place at Sushma Downtown
located on PR-7 Airport Ring Road in Zirakpur.
The
event was organised to revive the patriotic feelings and to promote the
country's cultural diversity. The whole premise was caught up in the spirit of
patriotism with tricolor decoration and patriotic songs reverberating in the
ambience. The competition concluded by flying four colored kites of different
shapes and sizes which soon filled the whole sky with multi colors reflecting
diversity, vibrancy and lively culture of India. People from all around Tricity
became the part of this grand kite flying competition and relished the
mouthwatering food and beverages like Amritsari Kulche, South Indian dosas with
piping hot tea and variety of snacks. The winning color was green, the one with
maximum kites in the sky till the very end of event.
Speaking
on the occasion, Prateek Mittal, Executive Director of Sushma Group said that
we are delighted to celebrate India's 72nd Republic Day. This is the most
important day in the history of the nation which represents the true spirit of
independent India, and we salute the Republic of India with the fourth edition
of Zirakpur flying high. With the constitution coming in force, it's the day
when India's transition to become an Independent republic was completed.
He
added further that the principles of Republic India are justice, liberty,
equality and fraternity and this festival is celebrated collectively by the
people throughout the nation. The rich culture of India shows its unity in
